How to check your India application
Indian regular visa and e-Visa applications, using separate service paths.
Government of India visa services
indianvisaonline.gov.in
Open official service ↗Step-by-step instructions
- Identify whether you applied for an e-Visa or a regular visa. Open the matching section of Indian Visa Online.
- Select Check your Visa Status or Visa Enquiry in that section and use the application information requested by the official form.
- For an e-Visa, also check the email address used in the application. For a mission-submitted regular visa, follow that mission or visa centre’s instructions.
Choose the correct application type
A saved draft or a payment entry is not the visa grant. Use the e-Visa result or the decision from the Indian mission.
Information to keep ready
Keep your application acknowledgement, submission date, visa category and the name of the submitting office available. The official service determines which identifiers are required. Enter personal information only in that service; VisaWand does not need your passport number, login password or application reference.
If the record cannot be found
Compare the service and reference with your receipt and check the fields requested on the official screen. A technical error or missing result does not establish a decision. Follow the handling office’s help instructions if the record still cannot be retrieved.
After an update or decision
Read the actual notice and any document request, collection instruction or deadline. Passport movement, the validity of an issued permission and progress of a pending application are separate checks. Use the decision notice to confirm the outcome and next action.

Travel-advice references provide entry and consular context. They do not supply a private application result, and nationality-specific entry advice must not be applied to every passport.
