How to check your Italy application
Italian visa applications: identify the competent diplomatic office and use the submission channel.

Open official service ↗Step-by-step instructions
- Use Visa for Italy to identify the visa information and competent office matching your nationality and place of residence.
- Match that office to your submission receipt. If an application centre took your documents, use the centre and route named on that receipt for file or passport tracking.
- Read the competent consulate’s instructions before sending a case enquiry. Keep the submission date, visa category and receipt reference available.
Choose the correct application type
Visa for Italy is an official visa information service, not a confirmed nationwide case-status lookup. Italian residence-permit tracking is a separate procedure.
Information to keep ready
Keep your application acknowledgement, submission date, visa category and the name of the submitting office available. The official service determines which identifiers are required. Enter personal information only in that service; VisaWand does not need your passport number, login password or application reference.
If the record cannot be found
Compare the service and reference with your receipt and check the fields requested on the official screen. A technical error or missing result does not establish a decision. Follow the handling office’s help instructions if the record still cannot be retrieved.
After an update or decision
Read the actual notice and any document request, collection instruction or deadline. Passport movement, the validity of an issued permission and progress of a pending application are separate checks. Use the decision notice to confirm the outcome and next action.

Travel-advice references provide entry and consular context. They do not supply a private application result, and nationality-specific entry advice must not be applied to every passport.
