How to check your Norway application
Norwegian visitor visas and residence applications, selected by application type.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open UDI Have applied and select the category matching the application you submitted.
- Read the instructions and waiting-time information for that category. Keep the submission receipt and any UDI case reference available.
- For a visitor visa still being handled by an embassy, use the instructions of that embassy or submission centre. Check official messages if the case is referred to UDI.
Choose the correct application type
UDI explains that many visitor visa cases are handled by embassies. A VFS movement update and the authority’s decision are different things.
Information to keep ready
Keep your application acknowledgement, submission date, visa category and the name of the submitting office available. The official service determines which identifiers are required. Enter personal information only in that service; VisaWand does not need your passport number, login password or application reference.
If the record cannot be found
Compare the service and reference with your receipt and check the fields requested on the official screen. A technical error or missing result does not establish a decision. Follow the handling office’s help instructions if the record still cannot be retrieved.
After an update or decision
Read the actual notice and any document request, collection instruction or deadline. Passport movement, the validity of an issued permission and progress of a pending application are separate checks. Use the decision notice to confirm the outcome and next action.
