Central African Republic visa forms in Paris require a printed file and passport submission

The embassy’s current forms distinguish short- and long-stay charges, while online preparation does not replace submission of the passport and supporting documents.

Online preparation is only one stage of the Paris procedure

People applying through the Central African Republic’s embassy in Paris should not treat completion of its online visa form as a finished electronic travel authorisation. The embassy’s short-stay service page requires applicants to print the completed information, attach the passport, two identity photographs and the requested supporting papers, and send the file to the embassy for processing. This is a current procedural guide, not an announcement of a new November visa system.

The service also offers a paper form without account creation. Applicants seeking postal return must supply an addressed, stamped envelope and use Chronopost for the return. The page identifies bank transfer through the embassy’s own payment information or cash when attending directly. Use that official service page to organise submission and return arrangements before sending an original passport; a saved account record does not establish that the passport has been received or a visa issued.

Read the duration bands and the actual form’s fee

The embassy’s short-stay PDF lists €80 for one to thirty days and €160 for thirty to forty-five days. It also lists an additional €20 for express processing and €50 for qualifying convention-covered NGOs and associations, while non-covered organisations use the ordinary applicable tariff. The bands overlap at thirty days, so an applicant at that boundary should ask the mission which charge applies rather than selecting the lower figure without confirmation.

The separate long-stay form describes forty-five to ninety days at €300 and again lists the €20 express supplement and the specified NGO category. Its label should not be interpreted as indefinite residence or permission to work: the published period ends at ninety days. For an illustrative sixty-day visit, this form identifies the relevant duration band, but the consular authority must still establish the correct category and decision. The express surcharge does not, by itself, establish a guaranteed delivery date.

Prepare purpose-specific evidence and complete the travel details

The short-stay form’s checklist includes the passport and copy, two photographs, an airline ticket and supporting evidence such as an invitation, mission order or hotel reservation. It separately identifies accreditation for journalists and an attestation from the Ministry of Tourism for tourists. Use that form to establish which purpose-specific evidence is needed; a hotel reservation should not be assumed to replace an accreditation or ministry document where the checklist requires one.

The long-stay form asks for the address in the country, family or other contacts, dates and duration, entry point, route and cities to be visited. It also asks about previous visits and whether the applicant intends to settle. Supply the actual itinerary and purpose consistently rather than changing the description to fit a preferred fee. Its signature includes an undertaking to leave when the granted visa expires. The reviewed forms do not publish one universal extension deadline or a complete residence-permit procedure.

Check passport validity and carry evidence after admission

France Diplomatie’s current Central African entry page requires a passport and visa and specifies at least six months’ passport validity after the intended departure from the country. Its guidance also requires the international vaccination record, particularly yellow-fever evidence, to be available at entry. British guidance instead describes six months after arrival for full British-citizen passports. Because the reference dates differ, establish the applicable requirement for the actual passport and airline before finalising the journey.

The UK safety resource says identification must be carried by law, including a certified passport copy or residence permit, and warns that police may detain people without it. It also identifies roadblocks and the need to keep vehicle and personal identification available during road travel. Retain usable copies and the admission record after receiving the visa. Permission to enter does not remove the serious security risks described in that resource, nor does a visa-processing payment establish unrestricted movement throughout the country.
