Package access is a distinct tourist route

Saudi Arabia official tourism guidance describes a package-linked electronic tourist visa for passport holders of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan and Mexico. The route depends on purchasing an integrated tourism package through an approved provider, rather than simply buying any hotel and flight separately. This is a current service guide checked on 29 October 2026; no newly effective launch date is claimed.

The KSA Visa package-service page confirms that the package combines confirmed accommodation, confirmed flight bookings and the tourism visa through authorized travel agents. Use that government service description to establish the route, and the official Visit Saudi campaign to check participating nationalities and providers. Someone outside the listed nationalities should check other visa options instead of assuming that a commercial package automatically makes the traveller eligible.

Check the package value before committing money

The Visit Saudi guidance specifies a Ministry-licensed hotel rated at least four stars, confirmed return flights and the visa application. It gives a minimum package value of SAR4,000 per adult for the first two days combined, plus SAR1,000 for each consecutive day afterwards. That is a package-value requirement, not a stand-alone visa fee. Ask for an itemized quotation showing what the booking includes and how the qualifying value is calculated.

For illustration, a traveller comparing a low-cost independent hotel with an approved package should not treat the difference as a government visa surcharge. Accommodation, transport and other included services affect the price. This review does not establish a universal child price, cancellation charge or refund entitlement. Confirm those contractual details with the approved provider before purchase, particularly where several family members depend on separate visa decisions.

Approval timing and entries require careful reading

The KSA Visa package FAQ says issuance follows purchase completion and data verification, with processing finalized within a maximum of 48 hours. It describes the resulting visa as single entry and valid for three months from the scheduled departure date. Read the actual issued document for the permitted stay and use dates; the service wording should not be converted into an assumed three-month continuous stay without checking the approval.

The same package FAQ says visa details cannot be modified after issuance. Review passport spelling, number, nationality and itinerary before completing the purchase. An illustrative traveller replacing a passport or changing travel dates should ask how the package and permission must be handled before assuming that the old approval remains usable. The published fast-processing description does not remove the need for data verification or accurate documents.

Standard eVisa terms should not be copied onto the package

The Ministry of Tourism standard eVisa terms describe a different general product: normally one-year validity and multiple entries unless otherwise stated on the individual visa, with a maximum stay of three months and no extension. They require six months passport validity at entry, travel using the passport used in the application and a copy of the approval for first arrival. These standard terms explain why travellers must identify which visa was actually issued.

The same terms limit that tourist permission to tourism or Umrah and exclude paid employment. They also state that paying does not guarantee approval or admission. Do not infer that the package single-entry description has silently become the standard multiple-entry product, or that a tourism package provides permission to work or undertake Hajj. Ask the issuing service about the exact approved activities where the journey has more than a holiday purpose.

Track the application and clarify refunds through the right service

The KSA Visa general FAQ directs applicants to its tracking function and says some cases can exceed the usual processing period. It describes refunds after rejection or cancellation as taking 45 to 60 business days, while saying issued visas cannot be cancelled or refunded. The separate standard tourism eVisa terms contain stricter non-refund wording. These descriptions do not establish that all package costs are refundable under either rule.

The practical next step is to obtain the provider terms for flights, accommodation and visa-related charges before paying, then retain the booking and approval correspondence. Confirm the exact visa entries, stay deadline and passport match before departure. Where the official service wording or refund coverage remains unclear, seek clarification through that service rather than relying on a promise from an unapproved intermediary.
