Turks and Caicos workers bringing family need a separate endorsement file

The family’s documents, health evidence and charges depend on the principal permit; an endorsement should not be confused with permission to work.

Check whether the worker’s permit category permits a family endorsement

Turks and Caicos work-permit holders bringing family should check category eligibility first. Government guidance limits spouse and child endorsement to certain permits and requires sufficient income and private-school provision for children. This guide does not establish eligibility for every worker.

Employed-person applications go through the employer or an accredited representative; self-employed and freelancer routes differ. Ask how the endorsement should accompany the principal file. The service publishes [email protected]. An employer’s support does not itself establish category eligibility, and no individual appointment was confirmed.

The work-permit page separates boards by geographic zones: Grand Turk, South Caicos and Salt Cay in one, and Providenciales, North Caicos and Middle Caicos in the other. Ask the employer which receiving board handles its business before delivering the linked family file.

Use the spouse and children checklist, not an unrelated residence section

The endorsement form’s employed and self-employed checklist requests photographs, marriage evidence, passport identity pages, good-health evidence, birth certificates and private-school letters. Police records, described as valid for six months, are required for children aged ten or older.

The form records the principal’s status and dates, the spouse’s passports, and each biological child’s current residence and immigration status. Declare an existing visitor status accurately; applying does not establish its extension. The requirements date to April 2016, so obtain the accepted current form. Its separate annual-residence checklist should not replace the work-permit family checklist.

The form also asks about arrests, charges, convictions and immigration history for people included. Supply the requested explanation where an answer is yes, rather than omit the question.

Arrange the child’s health evidence with the correct age rules

The Migrant Health Unit’s evaluation form specifically includes endorsement among the application purposes. It contains sections completed by the applicant and physician, with the examining doctor’s registration details, contact information, signature and stamp. The applicant or legal guardian signs consent for the health report to be reviewed by the appropriate authorities. This health assessment is a separate supporting process, not the immigration endorsement itself.

The submission notes say children aged fifteen or younger require the form, passport copy, vaccination evidence and urinalysis; those aged two or younger require the form, passport copy and vaccination evidence. Additional testing can be required if medically indicated. Reports must be no more than six months old when submitted. Use [email protected] to clarify the relevant child’s evidence, and follow the official health portal for submission and tracking. Do not order an adult screening package for every child merely because the principal worker underwent it.

Separate the endorsement charge from employment and residence rights

The endorsement form publishes a non-refundable USD 150 administration charge plus USD 500 per endorsee, payable on application. Confirm how administration is charged across the family and whether this older schedule remains current. The principal’s occupational permit charge is separate.

The government’s permanent-residence guidance provides a useful warning about a different family category: endorsement on a permanent residence certificate does not itself let a spouse work, and that spouse needs a work permit or their own qualifying certificate. That different category does not decide every work-permit dependent’s rights. Ask Immigration to confirm the precise work restriction for the dependent endorsement actually sought, rather than infer employment permission from being allowed to live with a worker.

Resolve the principal-status and deadline questions before the family travels

The permanent-residence guidance also excludes certain stepchildren and children adopted outside the islands from endorsement on a parent’s certificate and requires dependents to have been disclosed on the initial certificate application. Those rules belong to that certificate category; they are not a verified substitute for the work-permit endorsement rules. A family with an adoption or stepchild should obtain the requirements for its actual principal status.

No universal endorsement timetable, filing deadline or pending-stay permission was verified. Give Immigration the principal permit’s expiry and each dependant’s location and status. A health report’s validity does not extend immigration permission.
